At some point, Cara Santana will walk down the aisle wearing sustainable fashion.
The 34-year-old “Santa Clarita Diet” actress, who has been engaged to actor and musician Jesse Metcalfe since August 2016, tells The Post she plans to wear her mom’s wedding gown on the big day.
“It fits like a glove, and we’re probably going to update it a little bit,” she says from her front-row perch at the Sally LaPointe fashion show. “My mother was very touched.”
Party planning hasn’t begun yet, but Santana isn’t worried — she’s no bridezilla.
“We’re both pretty low-maintenance, except for when it comes to food and entertainment, so our resources will be focused on that,” says the star, her 5.5-carat diamond engagement ring sparkling in the light.
Santana describes her fiancé as “a Renaissance man and a total catch.”
Although the couple initially planned to tie the knot in 2018, they bumped the date to next August because their work schedules interfered.
“We’ve been together 12 years anyway,” Santana says. “What’s another year?”
