Mayor de Blasio said Tuesday that he’s not ruling out a run for the White House.
“I am not going to get into procedural matters, [I’ve] just made very clear I’m not ruling it out, my sense of mission is to go out and talk about these issues,” the mayor said during a briefing on the weather.
“Speaking as someone who has not ruled out a run, [there’s] always room for more progressive voices.”
The remarks came just hours after de Blasio’s political operation announced he would travel to the key early presidential primary state of New Hampshire on Friday to meet with Granite state politicians and activists.
When he was running for a second term in 2017, de Blasio was asked if he’d serve out his term if re-elected.
He looked straight at the camera and declared, “I will serve for 4 full years.”
