You know what Billie Eilish‘s breakthrough hit “Bad Guy” needed? A skanking riddim and a wicked trombone solo, duh. Either way, that’s what The Interrupters thought, so the L.A. ska punk group jumped into Ship-Rec Studios and gave the song their unique polish. After covering the tune all summer on tour, the Aimee Interrupter-led group explained that they hit the studio in their hometown because, “we thought it would be the perfect song because it’s so fun to play live! We are big fans of Billie and Finneas’s songwriting… What a breath of fresh air for music!”

The one-take stomp through the tune features Kevin Bivona’s chugging guitar strumming, Jesse Bivona’s swinging drums, a wicked Trombone solo from Billy Kottage and an infectious toe-tapping two tone energy that breathes new life into the chart-topping tune. The killer cover is a good kick-off to the Interrupters upcoming slot opening for rock icons Green DayFall Out Boy and Weezer on their epic Hella Mega global stadium tour, which kicks off in summer 2020.
