  • Just a few weeks ago, Taylor Swift alluded to her infamous girl squad being maybe-not-so-great for people after all.
  • Now Karlie Kloss, certified Squad Member™, is out here talking about her friendship with Taylor.

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve gotten a “Kaylor” update, but Karlie Kloss is here to bless us this fine Friday. The supermodel and Project Runway host swung by Watch What Happens Live, and because Andy Cohen is friend to us all, he asked for a Taylor/Karlie relationship update.

Well, okay, he actually asked a viewer Q about what Karlie thought of that essay Taylor wrote for Elle. You know, the one where Taylor said this:

In my twenties I found myself surrounded by girls who wanted to be my friend. So I shouted it from the rooftops, posted pictures, and celebrated my newfound acceptance into a sisterhood, without realising that other people might still feel the way I did when I felt so alone. It’s important to address our long-standing issues before we turn into the living embodiment of them.

Seems like that’s about Taylor’s infamous girl squad, no? Andy’s viewers thought so too.

“What was your reaction to Taylor Swift’s recent essay in which she reflected on the infamous Squad and realising that it was becoming the embodiment of her insecurities?” they asked Karlie.

Instead of answering the question directly, Karlie kind of dodged it. Dodged it swiftly, if you will.

“Taylor is incredible, and I feel really lucky to call her a friend,” she said, not outright mentioning the squad elephant in the room. “She’s one of the hardest-working women, and I loved her essay.”

Considering the essay was a casual 30-part reflection, we still don’t really know what Karlie thinks of Taylor’s squad remark specifically, but hey, at least we know she and Taylor are totally cool.
